Watched Channels

Channitor will keep an eye on any channel it has been added to and post an actionable message after a period of no activity.

Channitor can only watch public channels.

Use the select menu at the top of the Watched Channels section to add or edit the settings for any channel.

This will trigger a modal in which you can adjust a channel's expiration threshold.

Below the channel select menu, Channitor shows the most recent channel inspection date, allows you to modify alerting behavior, and gives you the ability to run an ad hoc channel inspection.

The top 50 expired channels sorted by days past the expiration threshold are are shown below these options in a list along with corresponding archive buttons.

Expired channel notifications

When the number of days specified in the expiration threshold for a channel has passed with no activity, a message will be sent to the channel with three options.

Expiration messages are delivered during the day per the most common timezone of channel members.

Workspace Admin settings

Chanitor function differently depending on the channel archive permission setting in your Slack Workspace's Admin Console.

If any option other than the one shown in the image above is selected, Channitor will not be allowed to archive channels.
